Will I Ever Finish?

I should now be studying week 44 but instead because of illness etcetera I have just finished week 9 and going on to week 10. As this course has cost me a lot of money I am determined to get to the end of it and use it to help me make money. So here I am some 35 weeks late but persevering and determined to enjoy and make the most of it.

I found week 9 interesting and at the same time a little frustrating. I have always been one for getting on with it and not sitting around thinking about it. It does of course make perfect sense to think about and plan out what you are doing, but I sometimes get easily distracted, and very easily bored, so I do prefer the practical side of things rather than the theoretical.

Because I am easily distracted I find it very easy to procrastinate. For me it is the easiest thing in the world to think about what I need to do and get distracted and end up not doing it. I am sure I am not the only person like this. This is where week 9 helped me a lot. It was a week full of thought and thinking, and yes I managed it without too many distractions.

As I have always tended to be a bit of a loner and kept myself to myself I did struggle to find things people say I’m good at. But I did manage some although not all of those that were required. As for things I am good at, well there were only a couple to put down, but hopefully the list will grow as I learn more.

As I want to become successful I must learn to do more research! Oh no here comes the theory again. I am now looking at ways of making my research more interesting. As I have a low attention span I will have to do it more often in smaller bits until I find a way of holding my interest and keeping the knowledge in my memory.

I know this is one of the things that needs to be mastered and of course once mastered it will become second nature. Learning can be a hard thing at any age. I know from my schooldays that because of my low attention span I didn’t do very well, other than in maths. I always said with mathematics there is a definitive answer. The answer you put is either right or wrong, whereas with a lot of written subjects the answer can be partially right depending on the examiners point of view.

Will I ever finish? Well if determination is anything to go by then yes I will finish the course all be it a lot later than first envisaged!
